Baby Jack, Born January 20, 2009 Big Sister Nikki was praying!
Left is staff member Denise Baxley at the hospital in the wee hours of the morning when Baby Jack was born. His birth mom had watched the Faces of Abortion TV program on the SkyAngel network. Her boyfriend had told her, "If you're pregnant, kill it." On the program she heard testimonies of the after effects of abortion and encouragement for choosing life. She decided to call the National Helpline number that was given on the show which is directed by Concepts of Truth. She talked with a staff member in Texas who encouraged her that we could help with life alternatives including adoption and she was referred to the local care pregnancy center. Yes, you guessed it....It was Concepts of Truth in Arkansas!! What an honor to be the closest pregnancy center for the caller! The story gets better......We met with the birth mom and asked if she would like to meet some interested adoptive parents. Although we had no interested parents at that time, we told her God would provide. We put out a prayer request and received a phone call the night before the birth mom was to come in for the second appointment. The family said their 5 yr old adoptive daughter had been praying for a brother of her own color! The next morning, literally ten minutes before the appointment, we received the family's profile information and pictures. We got to share them with the birth mom. Tears started running down her cheeks as she said, "You mean they would want my baby?" Then the counselor asked if she would want to meet other parents who may be interested and she replied...."This family will be just fine!" Baby Jack was born 11 days later and resides with his happy adoptive family pictured above. Thank God for LIFE!!
Adoption Awareness! This smiling face makes us believe in what we do at Concepts of Truth. RJ ( pic at right) was our very first adoption to facilitate. We just celebrated 2nd birthday with birth mom and adoptive parents. The following comments were sent in by his adoptive parents: “The adoption of our son was the most wonderful experience of our lives. We thank God every day for his birthmother because she made the most difficult decision of her life. We still can't believe that this little boy has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. We are proud to tell friends, neighbors, and total strangers that he was adopted and how the experience has changed our lives forever.” His face should make us all smile and know that life is good and adoption is a loving choice. We give God the glory that the process of the adoptions we have facilitated have been so loving and beautiful. And, only possible by your financial support and prayers.
